What exactly cookies are
Cookies are small temporary text files that are downloaded to your device when you visit a website. These one are automatically sent by the server which host the website to the browser of your device and are filed, by default, in its memory. Cookies in themselves do not identify you as an individual person, just the device used. They contain a string of special and/or alphanumeric characters which your device’s browser sends back to the website’s server that created them, so that the device can be recognized whenever you go back and certain information about your visit can be remembered. Cookies are readable only by the server that placed them, the only one capable of decoding data contained within them.
